The 2027 Atomic Maverick 115 CTI is the widest ski in the Maverick family, built for powder days and big-mountain freeride. With a fat waist and a powder-oriented rocker profile, it's a dedicated soft-snow tool that still carries Atomic's all-mountain DNA in its construction and shape.

Why we like it:

The float is the story here. The wide platform and big rocker profile make deep snow feel absurdly easy, and the HRZN 3D tip helps the ski plane up even quicker. It's the kind of ski that makes even mediocre powder days feel great.

Who it's for:

Advanced and expert skiers who ski a lot of powder or live somewhere with reliably deep snow. Ideal for skiers who want a dedicated powder ski for storm days and big-mountain missions, rather than a one-ski quiver.

Highlights:

The HRZN 3D tip is one of those features that sounds gimmicky but actually works in the real world. The beveled, 3D-contoured tip adds surface area and sheds snow, which makes the ski feel quicker to plane up in deep conditions and less prone to hooking in crud. The Powder Rocker profile pairs huge tip rocker with moderate tail rocker for that surfy feel, and the CTI Powered construction layers carbon and titanal over a Power Woodcore for solid stiffness at speed, which matters a lot on a ski this wide. Dura Cap sidewalls, a World Cup Base Finish, and a clean factory tune round out a really premium build.

Things to consider:

At 115 mm underfoot, this is a specialist tool. It's not a daily driver, and it won't be the one you reach for on firm groomers or variable conditions.

Fit & sizing considerations:

Skis a touch shorter than stated length thanks to the big rocker profile, so most skiers won't lose much by sizing up if they want more flotation.
